Position of the therapist:
- Standing distal and lateral to the arm
Position of the patient:
- Sitting at the long edge of the bench
- Forearm in maximal pronation supported on slightly lifted head part of the bench
- Wrist hangs freely
Hand placement:
- Contralateral hand fixates patient’s forearm on the bench
- Ipsilateral hand grabs patient’s proximal intercarpal row from ulnar
- Alternative: see video
Direction:
- Roll into ulnar and proximal direction
- Glide by a push on the proximal intercarpal row into radial and distal direction
N.B:
The distal component is added as the distal radius reaches slightly more distal than the ulna
