Upslope Manipulation (sitting)

Position of the therapist:

• Therapist stands behind the patient in a split stance

Position of the patient:

• Sitting on the short edge of the bench with knees relaxed
• Arms crossed in front of the chest

Hand placement:

• A pad is placed on the lower segment to be manipulated and fixated with the therapist’s sternum
• Therapist grabs each of the patient’s contralateral elbows to further lock the position

Impuls:

• Quickly extend the knees, while pulling the patient’s elbows further backwards
