Glenohumeral Ventral Capsule Roll & Glide

Position of the therapist:

• Standing at the long edge of the bench behind the patient

Position of the patient:

• Side-lying on the unaffected side
• Patient places hand of the unaffected arm over the pectorals against the opposite coracoid process

Hand placement:

• The therapist holds onto the patient’s arm with one hand to use as a lever
• The other hand is placed dorsally against the humeral head

Direction:

• Dorsal roll with the hand holding the elbow
• Glide component with the hand at the humeral head into ventromedial direction
