Position of the therapist:
- Stand contralateral to the side to be manipulated
Position of the patient:
- Supine position close to the long edge of the bench
- Contralateral arm placed on abdomen
Hand placement:
- Contralateral hand fixates cervical spine from dorsal so that the radius of the supinated forearm is placed against the margo medialis of the scapula
- Heel of the other hand placed against the ventral part of the acromion and head of the humerus
Direction of the manipulation:
- Dorsolateral
