Position of the therapist:
- Standing next to the side to be manipulated
Position of the patient:
- Upright sitting position
- Patient’s shoulder at the height of therapist’s sternum
- Glenohumeral joint in internal rotation with a flexed elbow behind patient’s back
Hand placement:
- Thenar eminence of ipsilateral hand against the ventral side of the lateral clavicle
- Contralateral arm goes through patient’s fixated arm and the hand is placed on the scapula
- Optional: Intertwine fingers of both hands for more stability
Impuls:
- Clavicle dorsal, acromion ventral
