Nutation Manipulation (supine)

Position of the therapist:

  • Standing opposite to the side to be manipulated

Position of the patient:

  • Supine lying position
  • Side to be manipulated over the long edge of the bench
  • Patient’s flexed leg fixated between therapist’s thorax and arm

Hand placement:

  • Both hands over the anterior superior iliac spine
  • Therapist’s thigh under the ischial tuberosity

Direction of the manipulation:

  • Dorsomedial
