- Standing at the short edge of the bench
Position of the patient:
- Sitting position on the bench
- Towel underneath femur
- Tibia hanging freely
Hand placement:
- Ipsilateral hand grabs tibia distally
- Contralateral hand on tibial plateau
Direction:
- Roll into dorsal direction (into flexion)
- Glide into dorsal and increasingly proximal direction
90°- maximal flexion
Position of the therapist:
- Standing at the long edge of the bench on the side to be treated
Position of the patient:
- Prone lying position
- Hip in slight flexion (relaxing the rectus femoris)
Hand placement:
- Ipsilateral hand grabs tibia distally
- Contralateral hand on tibial plateau
Direction:
- Roll and glide into proximal and increasingly ventral direction
