CONTRAINDICATED IN ACL DEFICIENT/RECONSTRUCTED KNEES
Position of the therapist:
- Standing at the long edge of the bench on the side to be treated
Position of the patient:
- Supine lying position close to the edge of the bench
- Hip flexed to 110°
Hand placement:
- Contralateral distal forearm placed in the back of patient’s knee between calf and hamstrings
- Ipsilateral hand placed on distal part of the tibia
Direction of the manipulation:
- Thrust via the distal tibia at endrange flexion
