Position of the therapist:
- Sitting on the patients foot on the side to be examined/treated
Position of the patient:
- Supine lying position
- Knee flexed to 70°
- Talocrural joint on a sandbag in 10° plantar flexion
Hand placement:
- Ipsilateral hand fixates proximal tibia from medial
- Contralateral hand’s thumb on ventral aspect of fibular head and index and middle finger on the dorsal side
Direction:
- Translation into dorsomedial and ventrolateral direction
