Humeroulnar Joint:
Position of the therapist:
- Standing lateral to the arm to be examined/treated
Position of the patient:
- Supine lying position
- Arm in 70° abduction
- Forearm in supination
Hand placement:
- One hand grabs the distal ulna
- Other hand placed on proximal ulna at a 45° angle
Direction:
- Roll into flexion
- Glide into ventral and increasingly proximal direction
Humeroradial Joint:
Position of the therapist:
- Standing medial to the arm to be examined/treated
Position of the patient:
- Supine lying position
- Arm in 70° abduction
- Forearm in supination
Hand placement:
- One hand grabs the distal radius
- Base of other hand placed on proximal radius at a 90° angle
Direction:
- Roll into flexion
- Glide into ventral direction
