Direct Lateral Flexion C0-C1 (supine)

Position of the therapist:

  • Standing at the short edge of the bench

Position of the patient:

  • Supine lying position

Hand placement:

  • Fixating hand on C2 with a V-grip
  • Working hand placed low on the patient’s occiput and rotates head contra-laterally until resistance is felt

Movement:

  • Lateral flexion movement towards the therapist by sideways movement of the body. The movement has to take place around a sagittal axis through the nose of the patient
