Fixating hand on C3 with a key grip into ventrocaudal direction
Working hand placed high on the patient’s occiput
Patient’s head fixated between working hand and therapist’s shoulder
Movement:
Maximal heteronymous 3D movement with equal components of flexion, contralateral lateral flexion and ipsilateral rotation. The extension becomes visible by pushing my patient’s chin forward.
Alternative: Perform this movement with the other hand and to laterally flex towards oneself and to rotate the patient’s head away.
