Execution:
- The patient is sitting position across the examiner
- The patient’s wrist is placed into radial deviation
- The examiner’s right hand grabs the patient’s right hand so that the thumb is
positioned over the dorsal distal capitate region - The examiner exerts a palmarly directed force onto the patient’s wrist so that the carpal bones translate in palmar direction
- The examiner moves the wrist into ulnar deviation while maintaining the palmarly directed pressure
Positive Outcome: Painful clunk as the wrist moves from radial to ulnar deviation
