Execution:
- Patient is in upright sitting position
- The examiner assists the patient in performing the following 4 movements:
- scapula retraction
- scapula depression
- scapula elevation
- scapula protraction
- These positions are held for up to 30 seconds, while the patient rests the forearms on his/her thighs
Outcome: The examiner monitors a change in pulse and symptom onset and notes which positions exacerbate or ease symptoms
