Labral Tension Test

Execution:

  1. The patient is in supine lying position
  2. The examiner places the patient’s arm in 120° of abduction and neutral forearm rotation
  3. The shoulder is then maximally externally rotated
  4. The patient is asked to supinate the forearm against resistance 

 

Positive Outcome: Increased concordant pain with resisted supination
