Cluster for SLAP lesions

Execution:

  1. Perform the Passive Distraction Test
  2. Perform the Active Compression Test of O’Brien

 

Positive Outcome: Two positive tests: Deep shoulder pain anteriorly or posteriorly with the Passive Distraction Test and the patient experiences less pain with the second testing position during the Active Compression test than in the first position.

Comment: With either two positive or two negative tests, the post-test probability of a SLAP lesion is moderately altered.
