Yocum’s Test

Execution:

  1. The patient is in sitting or standing position
  2. The patient is asked to place the hand of the affected arm on top of the contralateral shoulder
  3. Then the patient is asked to raise the elbow without moving the shoulder

 

Positive Outcome: Reproduction of the patient’s familiar shoulder pain
