Scapulohumeral rhythm

The scapulohumeral rhythm refers to the coordinated movement of humerus, scapula and clavicle in order to achieve full abduction or elevation. This rhythm can vary according to the amount of movement that occurs in each joint, which makes it necessary to compare both sides and to keep in mind that any “abnormality” might be a functional adaption.
