Execution:
- The patient is in sitting position with the arm as relaxed as possible
- The examiner stands behind the patient and palpates anteriorly to the anterior edge of the acromion with one hand
- The other hand grasps the patient’s elbow and brings the patient’s arm into extension
- The examiner carefully internally and externally rotates the arm to palpate the rotator cuff tendons
Positive Outcome: A tender depression/rent anterior to the acromion is felt
