Infraspinatus Test | Infraspinatus

Execution:

  1. The patient is in sitting or standing position so that the arms can hang relaxed alongside the trunk but not quite touching it
  2. The patient’s elbows are flexed to 90°
  3. The examiner places the palms on the dorsum of the patient’s hands
  4. The patient is asked to externally rotate both shoulder against the examiner’s resistance

Positive Outcome: Marked weakness in external rotation
