Execution:
- The patient is in sitting position with a straight back
- The patient abducts the shoulder to 90° and flexes the elbow to 90°
- The scapula on the tested side is fixated by the examiner with one hand, while the other hand supports the patient’s elbow
- The examiner passively brings the patient’s shoulder into maximal horizontal adduction
- The examiner lets go of the fixating hand on the scapula and moves the patient’s shoulder further into horizontal adduction
Positive Outcome: The patient has less than 100° of horizontal adduction with a fixated scapula and less than 120° without fixation
