Stenvers Test I: Backward Tilting of the Scapula

Execution:

  1. The patient is in sitting position with a straight back
  2. The patient’s arm is brought into maximal anteflexion
  3. Compare the position of the axillar hair line with the angulus inferior of the scapula

 

Positive Outcome: Posterior tilting of the scapula is limited if the angulus inferior stays behind the axillar hairline
