Supine Sign | Thoracic Compression Fracture

Execution:

  1. If not yet evaluated during patient-history taking, ask the patient to lie in supine position

Positive Outcome: Patients report that they are not able to sleep on their back or cannot lie on the treatment bench in supine position due to pain

Comment: The supine sign is rather an item that can be asked during patient-history than an acutal test and it should be used together with the closed-fist percurssion test in case of a suspected thoracic compression fracture.
