Fulcrum Test | Tibial Stress Fracture

Execution:

  1. Patient is in supine position
  2. The examiner places his/her knee against the lateral border of the lower limb at the midshaft of the tibia that is used as a fulcrum
  3. The examiner grips the inside of the patient’s lower leg just below the knee with one hand and just above the ankle with the other hand
  4. The examiner forcefully presses the tibia against his/her knee

 

Positive Outcome: Pain is reproduced at the medial tibia
