Execution:
- Have the patient seated with exposed and supinated arms
- The patient flexes his shoulders to 90° and fully extends and locks his elbows
- The examiner compares the injured and uninjured side visually and records if full extension is present
Positive Outcome: Patients who cannot fully extend their elbow after injury should be referred for radiography

| Comment: Patients who do not undergo radiography should return to the GP or specialist if symptoms have not resolved after 7-10 days. The test is suitable and equally accurate for children from age 3 on as well as adults. | |||||
