Execution:

  1. The examiner creates indirect fibular stress by compressing the tibia and fibula with both hands approximately 10 cm above the fibular tip
  2. The examiner creates direct stress on the medial malleolous by pressing the thumb flat on the medial malleolus
  3. The examiner creates compression stress of the midfoot and hindfoot by fixating the calcaneus in neutral position with one-hand with the other hand applying a sagittal load on the forefoot

Positive Outcome: Tenderness reported at any of the 3 steps
