Execution:
- The patient is in standing position and the examiner palpates the patient’s spinous process S2 and the PSIS on the side to be tested
- The patient then actively flexes the hip to 90° on the side to be tested, while the examiner’s fingers stay on S2 and the corresponding PSIS
Positive Outcome: The test is positive if the PSIS (right finger in the video) does not drop below S2 (left finger in the video), which indicates hypomobility in the right SIJ
