Yeoman’s Test | Sacroiliitis

Execution:

  1. Patient is in prone lying position close to the edge of the bench with the unaffected side
  2. The patient’s leg on the affected side is flexed to 90° and the examiner grabs on to the distal femur
  3. The examiner then applies a ventrally directed force with his other hand on the posterior superior iliac spine and passively extends the patient’s hip

 

Positive Outcome: Patient’s familiar pain in the region of the SIJ or buttock is reproduced
