McMurray Test

Execution:

  1. Patient is in supine lying position with the tested knee fully flexed
  2. The examiner rotates the tibia medially and brings the knee into extension. This process is repeated several times with a different angle of knee flexion
  3. The examiner then rotates the tibia laterally and repeats the steps from above

 

Positive Outcome: The patient experiences clicking, locking or pain in the tested knee
