Execution:
- Patient is in prone lying position
- The examiner grabs onto the distal tibia proximally to the malleoli and gives distraction, while fixating the patient’s femur on the table with one knee
- The examiner then internally and externally rotates the tibia to test for a rotation sprain
- At last, the examiner gives axial compression with the body or forearm and internally rotates the tibia, followed by external rotation
Positive Outcome: Meniscus injury is suspected if compression with rotation is more painful than traction with rotation
