Execution:
- Patient is in supine position with the knee flexed to 90°
- The examiner applies pressure on the lateral epicondyle or 1-2 cm proximal to it with his thumb
- The examiner passively extends the patient’s knee while maintaining the pressure with his thumbs
- An alternative to the supine position is with the patient in sitting position and active knee extension by the patient
- A second alternative is to have your patient in a lunge position and have him get up whilst applying abovementioned pressure
Positive Outcome: Patients complaints of severe pain over the lateral epicondyle at around 30° of knee flexion
