MCL Injury Cluster

Execution:

1. Assess for trauma by external force to the involved leg
2. Assess whether the trauma was of rotational nature
3. Perform the valgus stress test at 30° of knee flexion

 

Positive Outcome: ≥1 out of 2 patient history items present and pain/laxity during the valgus stress test at 30° of knee flexion
