Execution:
- Patient is in standing position and leans towards the unaffected side (against the wall or treatment table)
- The patient distributes weight equally over both feet
- The examiner places the hands above and below the patient’s affected knee joint and applies a valgus force to the knee while moving it into flexion
Positive Outcome: The valgus force and flexion of the knee will elicit a jerk and the knee will give way in anterolateral instability. The patient may report this as feeling of instability they experience
