Execution:
- Patient is in sitting position with the legs over the edge of the treatment table, the hips flexed to approximately 90° and the knee extended
- The examiner palpates the sciatic notch and then adducts and internally rotates the affected limb
Positive Outcome: Patient’s familiar complaints of gluteal pain and/or paresthesia radiating into the posterior aspect of the lower extremity are reproduced
