Execution:
- Patient is in sitting position with the hips and knees flexed and the lower legs hanging off of the treatment table
- The examiner places the hands on the lateral aspects of the patient’s knees
- The patient is asked to push the examiner’s hands apart against resistance
Positive Outcome: Weakness, faltering and reproduction of pain on the affected side
