Tinel’s Sign | Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

Execution:

  1. Patient is in sitting position
  2. The examiner supports the arm to be tested at the patient’s wrist
  3. Then, the examiner lightly taps on the patient’s ulnar nerve just proximal to the cubital tunnel with a reflex hammer 4-6 times

 

Positive Outcome: The patient reports familiar symptoms along the distribution of the ulnar nerve including pain, tingling and numbness
