Scratch Collapse Test | Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

Execution:

  1. Patient is in standing or sitting position with the elbows flexed to 90° and the hands outstretched
  2. The examiner then applies an internal rotation force at the distal forearm and asks the patient to resist. The patient is instructed to only match the force of the examiner
  3. Afterwards, the examiner scratches or swipes his fingertips over the ulnar nerve at the elbow and immediately repeats step 2

 

Positive Outcome: Brief loss of the patient’s external rotation force is examined
