Pressure Provocation Test | Cubital Tunnel Syndrome

Execution:

  1. Patient is in sitting position
  2. The patient’s elbow is flexed to 20° and the forearm supinated
  3. The examiner places the middle and index finger on the ulnar nerve immediately proximal to the cubital tunnel
  4. Pressure is applied for a total of 60 seconds
  5. The test is reproduced on the other side

 

Positive Outcome: Numbness or paresthesia in the distribution of the ulnar nerve are reproduced
