Execution:
- Patient is in upright sitting or standing position
- The examiner abducts the patient’s shoulder to 90° and maximally flexes the elbow
- Then the examiner applies a valgus force to the elbow and brings the shoulder into maximal external rotation
- At last, the elbow is quickly extended to about 30° of flexion
Positive Outcome: Known sudden medial elbow pain is reproduced and the pain should be maximal in an arc between 70-120° of elbow flexion
