C6: Biceps Brachii and Wrist Extensors

Execution biceps brachii:

  1. The patient is in sitting position
  2. Ask the patient to flex the elbows to 90° and to supinate maximally.
  3. The examiner then applies a downward pressure, while the patient is asked to resist the movement

Execution wrist extensors:

  1. The patient is in sitting position with the wrist over the edge of the table and the ventral aspect of the forearm on the treatment table
  2. The examiner applies a downward pressure into wrist flexion and the patient is asked to resist the movement

Positive Outcome: Decreased strength rated with the MRC scale compared to the other side
