Arm Squeeze Test | Cervical Radicular Syndrome

Execution:

  1. Patient is in sitting position
  2. The examiner grasps the middle third of the patients arm with the thumb covering the triceps and the other four digits cover the biceps area
  3. Then the examiner squeezes the arm 3 times with the same amount of pressure
  4. For comparison the examiner applies digital pressure to the acromioclavicular area and the anterolateral subacromial area

 

Positive Outcome: Pain during the arm squeeze is 3 or more points higher than on the other two sites on a VAS scale
