Execution:
- Patient is in side-lying position
- The examiner brings the patient’s foot into maximal dorsiflexion, eversion and maximally extends the toes at the metatarsophalangeal joint
- While this position is held for 5-10s, the examiner palpates the posterior tibial nerve behind the medial malleolus
Positive Outcome: Increased tenderness, numbness or pain upon palpation of the posterior tibial nerve
