Execution:
- Patient is in supine lying position
- The patient’s lower leg is braced between the examiner’s arm and torso
- The examiner places one hand proximally behind the tibia and the other hand distally on the femur
- The examiner then pulls the tibia anteriorly and pushes the femur dorsally as in the Lachman test
- In a second step, the examiner adds a valgus torgue at the patient’s ankle via the elbow as well as internal rotation of the tibia
Positive Outcome: The tibia subluxates anteriorly indicated by a sudden snap of varying degree, which can be seen or felt
