Execution:
- The patient is in prone lying position
- The examiner stands or sits at the symptomatic side and places the palm under the patient’s anterior superior iliac spine
- The patient is asked to extend the hip on the affected side to around 15°, slightly lifting it off the table
Positive Outcome: The test is considered positive if the anterior superior iliac spine lifts off of the examiner’s palm and is accompanied by the reproduction of the patient’s familiar pain localized at the SI joint
