Cervical Rotation Lateral Flexion Test

Execution:

  1. The patient is in sitting position
  2. The examiner rotates the patient’s head away from the affected side an lateral flexes the cervical spine in the opposite direction so that the ear moves towards the patient’s chest

Positive Outcome: No movement of lateral flexion along the axis of the costotransverse joint is possible or a bony restriction blocks the movement
