Position of the therapist:
- Standing lateral to the arm to be examined/treated
Position of the patient:
- Supine lying position
- Arm in abduction
- Elbow in 70° flexion
- Patient’s arm rests on therapist’s ipsilateral shoulder
Hand placement:
- Contralateral hand fixates patient’s humerus on the bench
- Ipsilateral hand grabs onto ulna as proximal as possible

Direction:
- Traction is applied at a 45-degree angle on the ulna in dorsal and distal direction
