Glenohumeral Caudal Capsule Roll & Glide

Position of the therapist:

• Standing at the long edge of the bench behind the patient

Position of the patient:

• Side-lying on the unaffected side
• Patient places hand of the unaffected arm over the pectorals against the opposite coracoid process

Hand placement:

• The therapist holds onto the patient’s forearm with one hand at the elbow
• The other hand placed cranially over the humeral head

Direction:

• Cranial roll by abducting the arm
• Caudal glide via the hand over the humeral head
