Position of the therapist:
- Standing at the long edge of the bench behind the patient
Position of the patient:
- Side-lying on the unaffected side
- Patient places hand of the unaffected arm over the pectorals against the opposite coracoid process
- Affected arm placed behind the patients back in internal rotation with slight abduction
Hand placement:
- The therapist holds onto the patient’s forearm with one hand to use as a lever
- The other hand supports the patient’s arm at the elbow
- Forearm of that hand placed anteriorly over the humeral head

Direction:
- Anterior roll using the forearm lever
- Dorsolateral glide using the forearm over the humeral head
