Hand placement:
Therapist sticks one hand through the patient’s crossed arms with the forearm placed against the patient’s coracoid process
Fixating hand on lower vertebra of level to be manipulated
Other hand rotates trunk from above until resistance is felt
Fixating hand creates pre-tension by rotating pelvis in opposite direction
Hypothenar eminence of fixating hand placed on transverse process of lower level
Impuls:
Patient is rolled towards the therapist so that the elbow of the fixating hand can almost entirely extend while making sure to maintain the pre-tension. Impuls using a contra-technique of the fixating hand
