Execution:
- The patient is in supine lying or sitting position
- The patient’s arm is elevated to 160° in the scapular plane with the elbow flexed to 90°
- The examiner applies an axial load and brings the patient’s shoulder into repeated internal rotation followed by external rotation in an attempt to pinch the torn labrum
Positive Outcome: Clicking with or without pain or apprehension by the patient
